About Me
Starla Blatcher is originally from South Jersey but now resides in sunny Los Angeles. She is a writer, producer, and on the animation development track. The thematics of her work include mental health, femininity, vulnerability, and queerness.
Starla Blatcher has her Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking at Rutgers-Camden University and her MFA in Screenwriting at Chapman University. She is currently an Executive Assistant & Office Coordinator at Hidden Pigeon Company and was accepted into the WIA (Women in Animation) mentorship program “Adapting IP & Creating Your Own.” Starla’s goals are to develop and produce magical realism, animated stories, where she can champion and collaborate with creative voices. And, of course, be an amazing cat mom. She spends most of her time watching movies, writing screenplays, reading graphic novels, and watching YouTube video essays.
