Summer 2026 - Season In Photos

Crystal Lake Pool in Haddon Township, New Jersey was where, as a kid, summer was manifested into a physical entity. It was the vibrant blues of the chlorine filled pool, flip flops covered in mud because after a swim, the dirty, rundown playground was a must, and the colorful assortment of yum yums. If you had a refined palette, you were skipping on the Mr. Softie truck outside the chained gates of the pool, and instead, indulging in a “rainbow” flavored yum yum. It was thicker than water ice, less icy than a snow cone. I have tried explaining the evident differences to my LA family, but it seems close to impossible, easier to just say, “trust me, if you had it, you’ll know the difference.”
While I am hard at work from my recent work promotion, producing two short films, and writing and producing a web comic, I still find time to catastrophize my future. Although, from my last entry, spring was about creating boundaries within my relationships and invest in worthwhile connections, turning twenty-eight has brought surprising revelations. I am confident in who I am, but I have spent less time putting together a grounded future, or even knowing what I want that future to be. Should I be outdoors more? How can I budget more of my paycheck?? Do I need to cut soda out of my diet??? Do I need to freeze my eggs???? Twenty-eight feels like a pivotal start in imaging what life can grow around me, now that I feel creatively fulfilled and not financially struggling. Who can say what will come…
Thankful to my new & old friends. Thankful to frequent visits to be with my family. Thankful to creative endeavors that make a younger version of myself proud. ♡
